Gone for a little while...

With a slightly bad concious I said goodbye to the Rubicon-Team on last Thursday. On my far to huge to-do-list several things were left to be finished. But as I was sitting in my car on the parking lot of the university and started the engine, I knew: For the next four days I will be gone. Without the laptop computer, without internet access or anything else work related material. Just the mobile phone I left on, if there might be an emergency in the office.

At the ski ressortThe mobile remained silent. A good forecast to relax and enjoy the holiday. Also the “get away from the office” is now really possible, while skiing down the snowy mountains under a blue sky, partying at the apre-ski or a couple hours chilling in front of the fireside.

The days in Austria were far too quickly passing by. Before I knew it, I was sitting again at my desk in the office – a full e-mail postbox included. It felt like the holiday was far shorter than to handle all the mails. The spam-mails were the easiest challenge of all and the 20 mails on the common topics were quickly deleted. And there was the bad concious again, because so many mails were remaining unanswered. After replying those I will face the biggest challenge: Explaining my sun tan to the others. It seems that they are getting less sun and look more and more pale.
