Getting an idea across

"b.one consulting, Fiala speaking, good morning..." By now I can't even remember how many calls I have started using that phrase. Partner Relations seems just to be a euphemism for "call center", similiar are Facility Managment and janitor. Granted, with the difference being that after an eight-hour call center workday you have to spend several more hours at the office in order to master the organizational complexity.

An event like this does not organize itself. I already knew that, but I never imagined it would be so much work. There is info-material to be designed, potential sponsors to adress and manage, and finaly one must retain an overview over all sectors. With all this work pending one may easily be so busy the entire day that eating becomes a minor matter.

Florian Fiala on the phoneThe only thing keeping you awake is idealism. Let's be honest, even in standard, every-day internships you get more money than nothing. No money at all is what we earn at Rubicon. In despite of this we still get together every day and try to think of ways to make Rubicon a one of a kind event. And this is exactly what it is all about: we as a team have, with each new day, the chance to decide ourselves what form Rubicon should take on  and to make it be a success. It is just too bad that some corporations who do not want to support us neither share our enthusiasm, but that's just what makes Partner Relations exciting. Oh, one moment please. "b.one consulting, Fiala speaking, how may I help you? ..."
