Filming in the Rubicon-Office
The Rubicon Organizational team received energetical support from the young artist Konstantinos Sampanis who presented this year’s teams of the Rubicon Contest 2011 in a movie. He gleamed with his high quality film equipment and his wide knowledge which was honored many times with several movie awards such as “Camgaroo Award” in Munich and the “Public Digital Festival” in Athens. Konstantinos started studying Communication & Media Management at BiTS Iserlohn in winter 2010. Since he started studying Konstantinos supports the university with his special works such as layouting the University’s magazine BiTS-Licht. An overview of his interesting personality as well as further information about his movies is available on his homepage www.icarian-pictures.com such as “Painkiller” (http://vimeo.com/15750536) and “The forgotten glasses” (http://vimeo.com/15752910).
Through his creative ideas not only the teams are shown in his movie, but the audience also receives an insight of the day to day life of the Rubicon Organizational team. We, too, were able to get some impressions of the complexity of producing a movie during his film shooting. At first, we taped some voice tests for the associated text of the movie and picked Katharina Jenni from our Event team. Konstantinos accompanied us in a team meeting with a following discussion round afterwards. He edited the collected material where the teams with their team names and the home country of the universities including their flag are shown. Now, we are all excited for the result of the movie and with it the announcement of the teams of the Rubicon Contest 2011.
