What do you want to do?

At Rubicon Contest we host students from all over the world here in Iserlohn, but what do THEY want to do after a long period of journey? Aline, Marit and I are thinking about this question at the moment. It is not that easy, I thought at the beginning.

What kind of supporting program are our participants interested in? Are they interested in the stalagmite cave "Dechenhöhle"? It is not very big and not spectacular for everyone, but it shows an impressive history of Iserlohn.
Another alternative is the small village of Barendorf. For the last three centuries hair-grips were manufactured there. Now it is a museum and you can see old traditional houses of the region. Is this interesting for students studying economics? Are young men interested in hairgrips? Probably not. However, the participants of the last years enjoyed it.

A third thought could be an ice-hockey match of our "Iserlohn Roosters". Why not? Our ice-hockey team is playing in the first German league. For someone, who only knows ice-cream out of a freezer could be impressed. Ice-hockey matches are always something special and this is what we are looking for. Something special!

At the moment, we, the Event Management team, are looking for something special for the participants of Rubicon Contest 2010 and we are not finished yet.

Take part in our decision and join the discussion on our facebook-fanpage.
