How I like too remember the summer. Not that it was warm, I could go outside wearing just a shirt and now a warm coat is mandatory. Especially in summer I took a break. After successfully achieving my Master's degree I booked a couple of flights and flew across the Atlantic. There were the typical touristy things on the itinerary, like watching water falling down Niagara Falls, standing next to the Statue of Liberty and drinking a coffee in the first Starbucks in Seattle. Also non-touristy things were on my schedule, because I wanted to visit friends I made at the Rubicon Contest in 2009. |

Spammed by Facebook.
Actually, I thought the mails would stop after the contest.
But as it turns out, I was wrong.
Now they no longer arrive at Rubicon, but at gmail. Approximately 60 automatically created mails arrived since Thursday and there is no end in sight. Our credo seems to be true, as everyone is “becoming friends” – at least in Facebook. Lots of pictures are tagged and walls filled with messages. |

The last dayThe final day of Rubicon had a tight schedule for the qualified teams. Early in the morning they already had to solve the first case study "cove&co.". After this knock-out-round the teams were down to four competing in the final round. They had to show to the whole jury and all participants their solution to the problems of a fictious car producer. The winner of this round, and therefore this year's Rubicon Contest, was announced later that evening at the Gala dinner in the Silbersaal. This concluded the event for 2009. |
